Ariel Calderon
Ariel Calderón was born in La Plata, Buenos Aires, his childhood shaped by drawing and manual crafts. He studied Fine Arts in his hometown and for years worked with masters who taught him more than just technique: a way of seeing.
He lived in Buenos Aires and Barcelona and attended the studios of various painters before settling in Valencia, where today he teaches and paints in Benimaclet.
His work establishes an indivisible link between space and figure. Isolated characters, complex relationships, an inner world where the human condition carries weight and takes form. When he moves away from figurative work, he goes outdoors to seek that same dialogue in plein air painting.
At SUMUS Gallery, he presents limited edition prints of his pictorial work and original oil paintings for collectors.
